About Us
The GFWC Beaverton Woman’s Club is a dynamic group of women united by purpose, passion, and community spirit. As a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), we live by the motto “Unity in Diversity,” coming together as individuals to create meaningful change right here in Beaverton.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to enhance lives through service. We do this by fundraising, volunteering, and actively supporting causes that matter most—arts and culture, conservation, education, civic and international engagement, and healthy lifestyles. When our community has a need, we step up.
Founded decades ago, the Beaverton Woman’s Club celebrated 50 years of service in 2012 and continues to build on that legacy today. In 2011, we were honored with the Service to Beaverton Award, one of the city’s highest recognitions, for our long-standing commitment to philanthropy and community impact.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Over the years, our projects have touched countless lives, including:
- Awarding an annual $2,500 scholarship or more to a single parent returning to school at Portland Community College
- Supporting McKinney-Vento Act Program
- Donating 1,100 books to local elementary schools
- Contributing $5,000 to Project School Bell, helping provide new clothes to children in need
- Supporting families at domestic violence shelters with refurbished facilities and essential supplies
- Creating comfort through Project Linus blankets
- Planting a Pinwheel Garden at City Hall each April to raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention, a national GFWC initiative
- Providing holiday gifts to local families during Christmas
Rolling Up Our Sleeves
Hands-on volunteering is at the heart of what we do:
- Adopt-A-Road cleanups along Hall Blvd
- Supporting local food banks
- Distributing books to elementary schools
- Community awareness projects at City Hall
Connection & Community
We believe service should also be joyful. Our club offers a variety of social and enrichment activities, including:
- Family Group Socials
- Holiday Parties
- Craft Time (rocks, bookmarks, and more)
- Sips & Books
- Bingo and Bunco nights

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month, and our door is always open. Whether you’re looking to give back, make new friends, or use your talents for good, there’s a place for you here. We value the skills and experience of our members—and we’re always excited to welcome new ones.

One-Time Initiation Fee: $15
